  1. Record serial number
    • Record serial number

    • You will need the serial number to link the unit to the vehicle and to verify operation. It is best to record the S/N before starting installation.

  2. Amber -  Cellular Solid - Ignition ON; Cellular network lock
    • Amber - Cellular

    • Solid - Ignition ON; Cellular network lock

    • Flashing - Ignition OFF

    • Fast Flashing - Ignition ON; Searching for cellular network

    • Flashing = Bluetooth connected

  3. Find a location for device to be installed such as behind the instrument cluster, A-pillar or knee panel.

    • Unit needs to be mechanically secured with Zip-ties, Velcro, etc...

    • Device should be installed (sticker side up) with a clear line of site out of the vehicle for best reception.

    • Device will work through glass, plastic, and most composites.

    • Do Not place directly under metal!

    • Do not cover the ESN/Serial Number with two sided tape. The label will peel and be unreadable when the tape is removed.

  5. Plug 24 pin I/O harness connector into the device.

  7. Remove the vehicle's OBDII diagnostic connector from the OEM mount. Insert the OEM OBDII connector into the bypass connector portion of the diagnostic Y-cable to provide power and diagnostics data feed.
    • Remove the vehicle's OBDII diagnostic connector from the OEM mount.

    • Insert the OEM OBDII connector into the bypass connector portion of the diagnostic Y-cable to provide power and diagnostics data feed.

    • (Photo 2) Re-mount the replacement OBDII port assembly into the OEM location.

    • Secure cable along the way, staying clear of any moving parts.

  8. Using the 24-pin power harness, locate and connect to the Battery and Ignition sources.

    • I.E. - Ignition switch or fuse box.

    • Using a ring terminal, terminate the ground wire to the chassis using a self tapping screw or a factory bolt.

    • Wire colors:

    • Red = Battery

    • White = Ignition

    • Black = Ground

  9. Route cabling and device to the mounting location you have chosen. Picture 2 - Use zip ties or VHB tape to secure the unit in a skyward facing position in a location not directly blocked by metal.
