Introduction

This guide will provide Installation instruction for installing a Xirgo XT-63xx with the RP1226 Diagnostic Harness for 2019+ Paccar trucks.

  1. Record serial number You will need the serial number to link the unit to the vehicle and to verify operation. It is best to record the S/N before starting installation.

  2. GPS LED OFF = Searching for satellites
    • GPS LED OFF = Searching for satellites

    • GPS Flashing = Satellite count +1

    • Com LED OFF = No power to device

    • Com LED Flashing = Ignition OFF

    • Com LED Flashing Fast = Searching for cellular; Ignition ON

    • Com LED Solid = Cellular lock; Ignition ON

    • BT LED OFF = Bluetooth not connected

    • BT LED Flashing = Bluetooth connected

  3. Find a location for device to be installed.

    • Unit needs to be mechanically secured with Zip-tie, Velcro, VHB tape etc...

    • Device should be installed (sticker side up) with a clear line of site out of the vehicle.

    • Device will work through glass, plastic, and most composites.

    • Do Not place directly under metal

  5. The RP1226 connector looks like this

    • It is a 2 row connector with 7 locations per row (14 total)

    • Use this pin out as needed for troubleshooting or identification

  6. Remove panel in the kick panel/firewall area to expose power distribution junction box

    • Examples

    • This example is from a Peterbilt, but the location still applies to a Kenworth

    • It has been brought to our attention that on some Peterbilts the connector is located high in the brake/clutch area.

  7. Using the 24 pin power harness connect the white wire to an ignition source.

    • The device will be supplied battery power and ground through the diagnostic connector.

    • The Red and Black wires should be insulated and remain unused.

  8. Input 1=Pin 6; (+) Positive input Input 2=Pin 7; (-) Negative input
    • Input 1=Pin 6; (+) Positive input

    • Input 2=Pin 7; (-) Negative input

    • Input 4=Pin 9; (-) Negative input

  9. Plug  the 24 pin harness into the device

  11. Plug in the hardware  diagnostic harness adapter
    • Plug in the hardware diagnostic harness adapter

  12. Call Support at 1-866-908-1165 or Log into VZCheck to verify operation.
