Transfer devices: XT Vehicle Tracker (Xirgo) with AI Dashcam and Extended View Cameras
This guide explains how to use the Verizon Connect Reveal Hardware Installer app to transfer or move a tracker and cameras from one vehicle to another.
Note
Not every step in this guide applies to your job. The Reveal Hardware Installer app only shows the relevant steps based on what you are transferring: the tracker only, the tracker and AI Dashcam, or the tracker with both AI Dashcam and Extended View Cameras.
-
In the How is the tracker connected to the vehicle? screen, select the power and ignition connection type so the correct configuration can be applied:
-
If the device is connected using a 3-wire connection, select Wired ignition.
-
If the device is connected by a cable to the diagnostic port (OBD-II or 6/9-pin or similar), select ECM diagnostic port.
-
-
If you select the ECM diagnostic port option, you are prompted to select the cable used to connect the tracker.
-
In the Are you installing Driver ID? section, select Yes or No as appropriate.
-
Tap Continue.
-
Before you test the installation, ensure the following:
-
The tracker is receiving power and is securely mounted in its final location.
-
All removed dash panels have been refitted.
-
The vehicle is in an area with good network coverage.
-
Driver ID is connected and mounted (if applicable).
-
-
Select the checkboxes next to each task.
-
Tap Continue.
-
During this test, the tracker shares its location with Reveal.
-
If the location is correct (within the highlighted area), tap Confirm location.
-
If the location is incorrect, tap Test again.
-
Tap Exit.
Note
If the location is still incorrect, tap How to improve GPS accuracy for tips and troubleshooting steps.
-
In the Driver ID section, choose how the Driver ID buzzer will operate when the vehicle is started but the driver has not used the fob to assign themselves to the vehicle.
There are 3 options:
-
No buzz. (The default setting.)
-
Buzz for 5 minutes with a 10 minute grace period.
-
Continuous buzz with no grace period.
Note
The grace period is a defined duration (for example, 10 minutes) during which the previous driver remains assigned, and the buzzer is silenced. After the grace period ends, the buzzer will sound continuously until the driver uses the fob to assign themselves to the vehicle.
-
-
Tap Continue.
This test confirms that the device is reporting whether the vehicle’s ignition is on or off.
-
On the Vehicle profile screen, enter the information for the new vehicle and tap Save.
Enter the following information:
-
