Reveal Hardware Installer | Set up and check in a Xirgo device

This guide explains how to use the Reveal Hardware Installer app to set up a Xirgo vehicle tracker.

The engine must be OFF when you are installing the device.

  1. Log in to the Reveal Hardware Installer app using our Verizon Connect login details.

  2. Select the Installation Work Ticket.

  3. Enter or scan the device serial number.

  4. Select the installation line item and then tap Continue.

  5. On the Welcome screen, tap GET STARTED.

    The Read the installation guide screen displays.
  6. Tap and access the installation guide for the type of installation.
  7. Install the Xirgo device in the vehicle as outlined in the relevant installation guide.
  8. Once you have installed the device in the vehicle, choose SKIP TO CONNECT VEHICLE.
  9. When the device is recognised, tap CONNECT.

  10. While waiting for the device to connect, enter the vehicle information. Tap EDIT VEHICLE PROFILE.

  11. On the Vehicle identity screen, enter the vehicle information and choose Save.
    Complete and accurate vehicle information allows Verizon Connect to provide better information about the vehicle.
    Enter the following information:
    • Vehicle name (mandatory)
    • License plate number (mandatory)
    • VIN
    • Year, Make, Model
    • Fuel type
    • Tank capacity
    • Fuel efficiency (city)
    • Fuel efficiency (highway)
    • Current odometer reading
  12. When the vehicle is successfully connected, the vehicle appears on the map with a pop-up that says Vehicle Connected.

  13. Tap COMPLETE SETUP.
  14. Select the QA Test tab.

  15. If you have installed peripherals, next to the Select Installed Peripherals label, choose SELECT.
  16. On the Select Installed Peripherals menu, select the installed peripherals.
  17. Tap Save.
  18. On the Peripherals list, tap an item to start the QA test.
  19. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the test.
  20. Run an ignition test to ensure that the tracker is installed correctly.

  21. If a test fails, check the installation, and choose Run test again.
  22. To complete the installation, choose Finalise Install.
  23. To check the device in, on the Device details screen, tap CHECK IN.
