This article is intended for Verizon Connect Installation Partners who install telematics hardware for Reveal customers using the Reveal Hardware Installer app. Installation steps that do not require the app are not covered. For more on these steps, see the device installation guide.

The Reveal Hardware Installer (RHI) app helps you to verify that the telematics devices that you install are set up and connected correctly.

When you use the app to complete an installation, it goes through a set of automated tests to make sure everything works, and it notifies you if there is a problem.

The app also makes it easy to edit vehicle information while you are on site and helps you to swap out an old device for a new one if needed.

Benefits of the Reveal Hardware Installer

The RHI app:

  • Gives you the right information to complete a successful install, service call or box swap.
  • Can be downloaded directly from Google Play store and iOS App store
  • Provides you with a full installation job schedule available in your pocket.
  • Includes robust QA system tools that prevents installers from ‘completing’ failed/faulty installs.
  • Provides contextual help at each step during the installation

Supported devices

The RHI app supports the installations of these devices:

  • VTU
  • Vehicle Data Device (VDD)
  • Forward Facing Camera
  • Driver Facing Camera
  • AI Dual Dashcam
  • Buzzer
  • Driver ID
  • Panic
