Locate RP1226 connectors in heavy trucks
This article shows the location of the OEM RP1226 connector in various heavy trucks including:
- Kenworth 2019+
- Peterbilt 2018+
- Peterbilt 520 2024+
- Freightliner 2020+ M2 models 106, 108SD, M112 and 114SD and Cascadia
- Mack 2018+ Granite, Anthem, Pinnacle, and MR/LR trash trucks

Kenworth 2019+
The RP1226 is located at the driver side kick panel near the fuse panel.
Peterbilt 2018+
Peterbilt trucks have up to 2 RP1226 connectors. The primary connector will be located at the driver side kick panel near the fuse panel. Secondary connectors are located at the bottom of the center console underneath cup holders.

Peterbilt 520 2024+ (Primarily trash haulers)
There are multiple RP1226 connectors located in the cab, 2 total connectors for VMUX equipped trucks and 3 total connectors for EMUX equipped trucks.
The first RP1226 connector is located behind the driver side kick panel (which is LH side for LH steer and dual steer or RH side for RH steer. The remaining RP1226 connectors are located under the body builder panel in the middle of the cab near the PDC. This location houses 1 connector for VMUX and 2 for EMUX equipped trucks.
Freightliner
RP1226 locations are dependent on the year, make, model and optional connectors ordered by the customer. Freightliner M2 models can be equipped with up to 3 connectors.
The Cascadia's connector is located behind the center console and can be accessed by removing the large passenger side L shaped dash panel.
2020+ Freightliner M2 models 106, 108SD, M112 and 114SD
Primary RP1226 location
The primary connector location has up to 2 connectors when optionally upfit and is accessed by removing the lower passenger side trim panel.
Secondary RP1226 location
The secondary connector location is in at the center overhead console when optionally equipped.
Freightliner Cascadia 2019+
The RP1226 is located behind the L-shaped trim panel located on the right-hand side of the of the center console.
Mack Granite, Anthem and Pinnacle 2018+
Up to 2 connectors accessed on the passenger side of the center console installed beneath or behind the fuse box panel.
Mack MR/LR Trash Truck 2018+
The MR/LR RP-1226 are located on the right side of the center control console.
Volvo 2020+
The RP1226 is accessed by removing the dash's center cover panel within fuse panel compartment.
International 2023+
The RP1226 connector can be found in 3 different locations.
Primary location models MH, HV, RH, LT
The connector is most often installed at the bottom of the center console behind the cupholders -
Secondary location Models MV, RH, LT
The connector can also be factory installed in the following 2 locations. The overhead console and behind the center console instrument cluster.
