No. The Verizon Connect Extended View Cameras system only operates with Verizon Connect hardware.
Yes. The vehicle must have a Verizon Connect vehicle tracker and Verizon Connect dashcam installed before you can install the Extended View Cameras.
A bundle contains a DVR, cables, connectors, a dash-mounted antenna, and one or more cameras.
Available bundle configurations:
- DVR + Rear Camera
- DVR + Rear Camera + Cargo Camera
- DVR + Rear Camera + 2 Side Cameras
- DVR + Rear Camera + Cargo Camera + 2 Side Cameras
- DVR + 2 Side Cameras
Each bundle comes in its own box. The monitor is boxed separately.
Note
Extended View Camera (EVC) kits are large and may arrive on a pallet, depending on the order size.
No. The contents of each bundle (which includes a DVR and one or more cameras) must be installed into the same vehicle. Components from different bundles cannot be mixed, as this will prevent successful installation of the Extended View Camera system.
Only Verizon Connect technicians are authorized to perform this installation.
This is a complex installation and requires expert knowledge of a vehicle's electrical systems, such as control modules, sensors, and trigger wires. Installing these extended view cameras demands proficiency in advanced installation techniques for tasks such as drilling, cable routing, and securely mounting the cameras on vehicle exteriors.

Vehicle equipment installations, like Verizon Connect devices, might require changes to the vehicle, such as connecting to diagnostic ports, adjusting panels, or drilling holes.
Extended View Cameras can be installed on many commercial vehicles with a Class 1-8 Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Verizon Connection always checks for vehicle compatibility with the Extended View Camera system.
Extended view cameras are not approved for installation on:
- Passenger Sedans
- Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs)
- Luxury SUVs
- Off-highway equipment (such as yellow iron)
Cargo cameras are not suitable for pick-up trucks.
Caution
When installing on a vehicle with a detachable trailer, the rear camera may be obstructed when the trailer is attached.
Vehicle equipment installations, like Verizon Connect devices, might require changes to the vehicle, such as connecting to diagnostic ports, adjusting panels, or drilling holes.
It is the responsibility of the person leasing the vehicle to make sure vehicle modifications (such as drilling holes) are allowed by their lease agreement. Verizon Connect is not responsible for any issues or violations of the lease agreement.
Caution
Due to the complex nature of this installation, Verizon Connect will not remove the cameras. They will remain on the vehicle but they will not interfere with the vehicle’s functionality. Once you have the new vehicle, you can contact Verizon Connect to order new cameras.
No. Given the complexity of this installation, Verizon Connect will not transfer the cameras to another vehicle. To equip the second vehicle with Extended View Cameras, please contact Verizon Connect to purchase new bundles.
The rear camera is typically installed outside at the rear of the main vehicle body. The camera is suitable for outdoor use and has a 115-degree field of view.
Caution
The rear camera cannot be installed on a trailer or other detachable component, as this can obstruct the camera's view.

The rear camera cannot be installed on the roof of a vehicle.

Extended View Cameras are subject to harsh environmental conditions and high-pressure cleaning. Therefore, they must be securely mounted to maintain camera lens positioning and prevent angle adjustments after installation.
The cargo camera can only be installed inside the vehicle. It has a 105-degree field of view and is typically installed at the front, middle, or rear of the cargo area.
Caution
Extended View Cameras are subject to harsh environmental conditions and high-pressure cleaning. The cargo camera is not suitable for these conditions.
The side cameras are typically installed on the front side fenders of the main vehicle body.They are suitable for outdoor use and have a 115-degree field of view.
Caution
The view from the side cameras should not be obstructed by any part of the vehicle.
The DVR should be mounted in a location where it does not interfere with the driver or normal operation of the vehicle.
We recommend mounting the DVR behind the dash or under the driver seat.
The optional In-Cab monitor is installed inside the vehicle’s main cabin on or near the dash using the mounting pedestal.
