Verify your Vehicle Data Device installation in Reveal

This is a printed page that might be out of date. To read the most up-to-date help content, visit https://device-help.verizonconnect.com.

This article explains how to verify in Reveal that your Vehicle Data Device has been installed correctly.

If the Vehicle Data Device is not installed using the Spotlight app, the device:

- Will only operate in GPS mode.

- Will not receive data from the ECM.

This means that some data, such as VBUS-calculated odometer readings, are unavailable.

You can still track the vehicle and receive harsh driving alerts. To activate ECM in compatible vehicles without using Spotlight, contact Customer Support.

The vehicle should be listed in Reveal with the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) as the vehicle name. You can search for the IMEI to confirm that it is successfully connected to Verizon Connect.

You can search for the vehicle by name, or IMEI, to confirm that it is successfully connected to Verizon Connect.

To find the vehicle in Reveal:
