CP2 Driver-facing camera

This article explains how to install a CP2 Driver-facing camera using the Reveal Hardware Installer app.

Note

A VTU and a road-facing camera must be installed in the vehicle before you can add a driver-facing camera.

  1. Navigate to the Work Ticket for the Install.

  2. Select Scan to scan the barcode on the Driver-facing camera.

    Note

    You can also manually search for the camera by entering the Serial Number (ESN) into the search bar and tapping Search.

  3. Select Installation - Driver Camera.

  4. Tap Next.

  5. Select Scan to scan the barcode on the Road Camera. To manually search for the camera, enter the Serial Number (ESN) into the search bar and tap Search.

    Note

    If the road-facing camera ESN is not available, tap Change Search Method. You can change the search method to any of the following: VIN, ESN, or license plate.

  6. Confirm that you are pairing the driver-facing camera with the correct vehicle and tap on it to continue.

  7. The next few screens will show the Order of installation. Select Got It at the bottom of each to move through to the next screen.

  8. The Setup screen will display, select Skip and Activate Camera when ready to begin setup.

  9. Expose the existing Road camera connector and select the Model Type (A or B) of the existing Road camera.

  10. Connect the camera cables as pictured for the specified road-facing camera model.

  11. Tap Next.

  12. Locate a spot on the windshield for the camera, but do not mount it yet.

  13. Select Next.

  14. Align the camera. Adjust the angle of the lens by unscrewing the screws using the key provided.

  15. Tap Next.

  16. Clean and dry the windshield where you intend to place the camera with the provided lens.

  17. Stick the camera to the windshield. Hold for 30 seconds to ensure it is secure.

  18. Remove the status cover from the lens and tap Next.

  19. Start the vehicle ignition to power the cameras.

  20. Select Activate Camera.

  21. Align the camera so you can see the driver clearly.

  22. Select Next.

  23. Confirm the Vehicle, Road Camera and Driver Camera information is correct.

  24. Select Activate Camera.

  25. Review installation details, and select CHECK IN to complete.
