The installer can identify and connect to common engine and electrical systems on vehicles and assets; such as control modules, sensors, trigger wires, alternators, starters, and solenoids. The installer can use pull-up and pull-down resistors, relays, and diodes.

Time required:

This guide explains how to install Verizon Connect’s Extended View Cameras system on a vehicle.

The Extended View camera system includes:

  • DVR (Digital video recorder)

  • Dual antenna

  • Rear camera

  • Cargo camera

  • Side cameras

  • In-cab monitor (optional)

Note

Cameras to be installed may be: rear only; or rear and cargo; or rear and two side; or rear, two side and cargo.

It is important that you complete the installation in the order outlined in this guide:

If tilting the vehicle cab during the installation, it is the installer’s responsibility to ensure proper safety procedures are followed, including that the cab interior is safe to tilt.
